Crisi nei Depeche Mode: Gahan lancia un ultimatum a Gore

Io il singolo di Martin "Stardust" lo trovo molto profondo, la sua voce riesce a penetrare nella mia anima e l'arrangiamento elettronico è da sballo, certo i Depeche assieme sono un'altra cosa però Dave Martin hanno fatto due bei lavori soprattutto Martin ha fatto davvero dei bei arrangiamenti, cmq ripeto i DM tutta un'altra storia

Gahan Ditching Depeche Mode?
Singer frustrated with band role, enjoying solo life
After releasing his debut solo album Paper Monsters this summer, singer Dave Gahan is thinking about quitting Depeche Mode.
"It's become increasingly difficult for me," Gahan says. "When we go on tour and I'm performing, I know that I contribute a great deal to what we do -- in terms of bringing the songs to life on stage. But in the studio, it's like [keyboardist and songwriter] Martin [Gore] might as well be doing it himself . . . They're his songs, his ideas, and I'm the voice on top of it."
"It's just not fun in the studio if you've got an idea for something and the person you're working with can't even be bothered to pick a guitar up," Gahan continues. "It seems to me like a waste of time."
Gahan is currently touring to support Paper Monsters, released in June. Not only is it his first solo album in twenty-two years of Depeche Mode, it's the first time his own songwriting has made it to disc.
"I played a few demos to Martin during the making of [2001's] Exciter," Gahan says. "He nodded his head and let me know that they were pretty good, but he never turned around and said, 'Great, let's record some of these for this album.'"
Gore released his own solo album Counterfeit2, which consists entirely of covers, in April. "I don't think it would be right for me to use my own material for a solo record while I'm still part of Depeche Mode," he told Rolling Stone at the time.
But Gahan says, "Unless he's open to both me and him coming into the studio with a bunch of songs and supporting each other, I don't see that there's any point in going on and making another Depeche Mode record."
And what are the chances of that? "You know what?" Gahan says. "At this point, I don't really care."

Qui mi sa che avete bisogno di un po di aria fresca di montagna... ....se ne sono sentite tante...troppe....forse dovrebbero smetterla...o forse continuare.....l'unica cosa da fare ormai e' dare poco peso a tutte queste interviste presunte ufficiali o presunte no.......e aspettare fine anno con le dita incrociate.....secondo me e' l'unica soluzione......

Per quanto riguarda Fletch se mi e' concesso.....come musicista ormai e' assente da anni.....l'unico suo ruolo signori e' quello di dare una svegliata a Martin nei periodi antecedenti all'album...perche' si sa....Martin e' sempre stato molto pigro nello scrivere le sue canzoni....Fletch ad oggi e' l'unico vero stimolo per il nostro amato Mart.....sempre che qualche montato con una voce clamorosa torni con i piedi per terra......vedi Dave.....

Sì, però intanto la notizia è stata or ora ripresa anche dal notiziario di MTV. Peraltro ormai capita talvolta di sentire, anche per radio, gente che parla di Gahan definendolo come "l'ex cantante dei Depeche Mode". Bah...Lettera 22 ha scritto:Mah, niente di nuovo. In ogni modo l'esordio solista di Dave mi pare abbia riscosso un discreto successo commerciale, nulla di più. Nulla che possa indurre a montarsi la testa al punto di lanciarsi in una ambiziosa carriera solista, a meno che Gahan non accetti il ridimensionamento inevitabile che una simile scelta alla lunga comporterebbe, dal punto di vista artistico, pubblicitario ed economico. Dopotutto a favore di PM ha giocato (per me tanto) il fattore novità, la curiosità del pubblico di vedere all'opera Dave per la prima volta da solista. Ma queste considerazioni verrebbero automaticamente meno in vista di un nuovo disco solista, tanto più in caso di definitiva rottura. Dubito quindi che Dave voglia mollare tutto...Casomai si troverà un compromesso, ad esempio con l'inserimento di 2 o 3 pezzi firmati da lui nel nuovo disco dei DM.

La soluzione finale certo che sarebbe una riappacificazione totale con un rientro alla grande di Alan. Ma, chissà perchè, non riesco più a credere a Babbo Natale. Per il resto anch'io non ho gradito troppo l'escursione solista di Dave ( da sempre mio punto di riferimento ) mentre il sequel di "Counterfeit" sebbene migliore dei mostri di carta del compagno (compagno?) l'ho trovato non all'altezza di..un sequel.
Insomma, speravo tanto che SENSOR dei Camouflage fosse un bell'album, ma trovarlo addirittura superiore sicuramente ad EXCITER e forse ad ULTRA è stato davvero troppo. Mi domando perchè abbandonare un genere per cui si è nati; le ramificazioni rock non hanno mai disturbato nessuno ma arrivare al punto di lanciare ultimatum è deprimente. Sì: speriamo sia tutto un gossip, dicerie...pretesti, ma speriamolo sul serio. Best regards.
