Una credo sia questa:
Depeche Mode - I Promise You I Will
if you need a friend
don't look to a stranger
you know in the end
i'll always be there
and when you're in doubt
and when you're in danger
take a look all around
and i'll be there
im sorry, but im just thinking of the right words to say
(i promise you)
i know they don't sound the way i planned them to be
(i promise you)
but if u wait around the world, i'll make you fall for me
(i promise you)
i promise you, i promise you i will
when your day is through
and so is your temper
you know that to do
i'll always be there
sometimes if i shout
it's not quite intended
these words just come out
with no cross to bear
im sorry, but im just thinking of the right words to say
(i promise you)
i know they don't sound the way i planned them to be
(i promise you)
but if u wait around the world, i'll make you fall for me

i need to tell ya
i've got to tell ya
i gotta tell ya

MESSAGGIO X BLACK CELEBRATION 73
TI invito alla festa DM a Bari sabato prossimo.
Per maggiore informazioni mandami 1 messaggino privato o vatti a vedere il thread WAITING FOR THE ANGEL sempre su questo forum.

Answer
Hey, you´ve been caught for one of the most "DM-ish" style bands!!!
Sorry, but that is NOT a DM song, is a band called
"When in rome", and the song title is, of course:
The promise.

Dato che siamo a parlare di "bufale dM", è interessante anche questo:

Subject: THE REAL UNRELEASED TRACKS.
Question
Hi, I am - also - a die hard fan of D.M.
Now my big question:I know there are a few unreleased tracks from D.M: Reason man, Television
set etc...But I am actually looking for other tracks: what about the violator era, songs of faith, black celebration...etc...there has got to
be some other unreleased tracks.Where can I find
that?
Bear in mind I am not talking of the solo covers
from Martin gore.
What about demos?
True unreleased b-sides?
By this I mean never heard.
Thanks for your patience.I would greatly appreciate an answer. This is so frustrating.
Answer
Unfortunately, there is VERY little in the way of unreleased DM material. The early tracks you refered to are some of the only tracks available. By the way, the actual title of "Ghost of Modern Time" is "Addiction" - what is being sung in the chorus is "closer all the time...". Supposedly, Yaz(oo)'s (Vince's second project with Allison Moyet) song "Don't Go" is based on this. Vince's friend wrote "Television Set", and it was played live up to and including on the "Speak & Spell" tour.
There are a limited number of demos available - the ones I have include "Shake the Disease," and "Enjoy the Silence." Dave did a solo track called "Song for Europe" for a charity CD, which is actually really quite good.
There are a bunch of songs being distributed on bootlegs that claim to be DM demos, but NONE of them actually are. "Violence" and "I Feel No Guilt" are two of them - the current consensus of BONG is that these songs were done by Fortran 5, probably in their earlier incarnation under the name of I Start Counting. Many others, like "Cliche," are by a band called Red Flag. To further confuse matters, Red Flag (whose singer sounds an awful lot like Martin) has covered a few older Depeche tracks, which have often been mistaken as demos, including "Told You So." There are others, like a new one called "Ponytail Girl," which is a (crappy) instrumental, not by DM, but I'm not sure who actually did make it.
As far as rare stuff, I do have a copy of the backing tape from the Violater tour - the recorded material that isn't performed live. It's interesting to hear, as all the melodies and main harmonies are removed (for Alan to play).
What it comes down to is that Depeche Mode is very selective about the songs they choose to make, and almost without exception, if they choose a demo, it ends up on an album. Whatever demos are leftover are usually destroyed, or kept by Martin. In a couple of cases, Daniel "Brat" Barissi, has come upon demos, but he adds a booming voice in the background saying something along the lines of "This is a BRAT mix!," so it can't be released on a bootleg. I think he only plays these when he DJs anyway, I don't recall seeing any on a bootleg.
I know you weren't talking about Martin's stuff, but just for your info: the tracks "Down in the Boondocks" and "I Love You Love Me Love" were both solo tracks recorded by Martin early in his musical career as a birthday present to one of his friends at the time. They were rumoured to be outtakes from his solo "Counterfeit EP", but this is not true.
I know how you feel, by the way - I searched and searched a few years back, assuming that there HAD to be unreleased tracks out there, but it just isn't so. Console yourself that whatever DM you get is the finished product, the way it was meant to be heard.

Re: Testi
