Una canzone che quasi nessuno cita mai, ma che oltre ad essere bellissima (una delle mia preferite dei DM) ha anche un significato profondo è per me Only when I loose myself:

…non solo questa strofa descrive bene quella sensazione che ti dà una persona che sa riempire i vuoti interiori e ti fa sentire pienamente soddisfatta/o, anche la costruzione in inglese con rime e assonanze e il modo in cui è cantata ti fa riecheggiare dentro questa sensazione. E ancora:

C’era bisogno di vendere la mia anima, di perdere il controllo, di metterti il mio cuore in mano per provare una sensazione come questa? A quanto pare ne vale la pena, perché:

È solo quando riusciamo a perderci nell’altro che capiamo veramente chi siamo, che ci distinguiamo e ri-conosciamo come se fosse per la prima volta. Affermazione dell’identità individuale nel confronto con gli altri. È il principio che guida la mia vita, un costante confronto con gli altri, mettendosi sempre in discussione e mettendosi anche nei panni degli altri – e qui esce l’altra canzone già citata e stupenda Walking in my shoes:

Now I’m not looking for absolution
