Ascoltato ora e messo subito a confronto con l'Alex Metric.
Questo Stargate mix sembra più pulito, ma paga in termini di idee.
Mi da l'impressione che si sia cercato di andare sul "sicuro" senza sbilanciarsi troppo....
Gli manca un po' di coraggio per osare di più, qualità molto importante in un remix.
Quindi alla fine preferisco leggermente le trombette dell'Alex, anche se si tratta comunque di un lavoro molto commerciale.
Che dire... suoni non certo originali,e una compressione pump adatta all'uso in discoteca....d'altronde il mix è stato pensato proprio a questo scopo.Quello che mi lascia un po perplesso è la non originalità el la non ricercatezza di suoni e melodia come i nostri spesso ci hanno abituato.Spero vivamente che sia un episodio isolato.

Permettetemi di dire che spero che sarà un flop questa raccolta di remix... Sperando che scoraggino nuove uscite del genere con le quali stanno a mio avviso cadendo in basso. Ho personalmente amato alcuni remix come quello di Useless o il flood di Freelove, per non parlare di pietre miliari come il beatmasters di Route 66 e soprattutto lo Zephyr mix di IYR... Ma queste x me sono operazioni commerciali riempibuchi senza senso e forzate.

non capisco in che modo un flop di un album per appassionati del genere (come era il primo volume) debba far riflettere su "quanto siano caduti in basso" (madeché?)... un delirio proprio eh. Non ti garbano i rmx? Non li comprare... sic et simpliciter.

Una uscita così ha senso: basta considerarla per quello che è, e non per ciò che vorremmo che fosse (uno stupendo album di inediti ecc ecc).

"It was an honour and a privilege to be able to get my hands on a classic record like Personal Jesus. I hope I did it some justice with my new version. I can clearly remember the first time I heard Depeche Mode as a teenager, and they made quite an impression on me, so to be able to work with the band in some way has been amazing."

"Remixing Personal Jesus had an added element - the fear factor! How to approach such an iconic piece of music, when the original is such a perfectly executed classic.
