Che impressione rivederli di nuovo insieme dopo tanto tempo.. però si son mantenuti carucci.
Per quanto riguarda il nuovo pezzo mmm la voce di Hadley sempre in forma, ma sinceramente come singolo mi dice poco è piuttosto lento, magari il disco poi è tutta un'altra cosa.. Io comunque ho sempre preferito i Duran.

le rivisitazioni da parte degli stessi, delle proprie canzoni, non l ho mai capita.. (in generale)
forse era davvero meglio si limitavan al solo concerto e poi, ad un nuovo album.. magari ispirati da nuova vena creativa.. cosi è proprio una manovrina commerciale spudorata.. (sempre secondo me nè

mi permetto di fare luce. La band ha ri-registrato per proprio conto le sue composizioni per detenerne il master. solo che a sto punto mi viene una domanda.. ma se prendono le loro canzoni e le rifanno (io sò profana.. la teminologia esatta nun la conosco) le stesse cambiano no? quindi non è possibile che nonostante le rifacciano, continuino a vendere di più le "originali" in quanto la gente più affezionata a quelle che alle nuove? (rifacendole non credo vengano uguali.. anche solo la voce con gli anni è diversa..)

ma certo che sì, però ci sono anche i fanatici, i completisti.. che comunque sborseranno il loro obolo a Tony e compagnia pur di assaggiare queste "new version". Inoltre un "nuovo" album muove interesse, permette loro di fare un po' di promozione e traina anche le vendite dei biglietti del tour. Insomma, in ottica esclusivamente merceologica meglio un album loffio che nada.
più che altro adesso, come un gentil signore mi faceva notare speriamo non propinino live le "rivisitazioni".. (anche se poi ovviamente non le abbiam ancora sentite.. ma difficile proprio per il discorso di prima, che vengano ben accolte se "diverse", a meno che abbian fatto una magia.. ma dubito)

- This ia a great return for a great band, the new take on the old classics takes a little getting used to, but i'll fly for you is really got me now. Once More is a great new single, a bit more mellow than you'd expect from Tony and the boys, but still fantastic all the same.
- Initially, I was disappointed when I saw it was mostly "old songs" .But, they are acoustic and updated versions of their classics, which show off Tony Hadley's vocals and the Kemp brothers' original songwriting to perfection. In my opinion, the only letdown was the updated "through the barricades", but the original was a classic.
- love the new song! the remakes? as a huge fan! 5 stars! all the way! thou still love the originals but this new tracks makes it more exciting! something that you will enjoy during long motor-way drive! only when you leave is good but i still love the old one! its my favorite! with the pride hit me hard! its so so nice! steve norman still one of the best sax player ever! always the one that separate SB among other band! worth buying it! i pre-order this a week ago! it's worth the wait!

but not a bad song on the album,but then again i,m a baised spandau fan,it,s a chillout album. lets hope they can come back with some new material next year!
