To be released on the 23rd February 2009 is "Total Pop! The First 40 Hits" - a collection of Erasure's first 40 hits which features all the hit singles from Erasure's five no. 1 albums, plus a brand new remix of 'Always' by Jeremy Wheatley.

As well as a double CD package and digital download, Total Pop! will also be released as a special four-disc deluxe box set which includes Pop! (remastered since its original release), Pop2!, a live CD and a DVD featuring classic BBC performances from 1986–2005, which includes television performances ranging from 'Sometimes' on 'Top of the Pops', 'Ship Of Fools' on 'Wogan' to an appearance on 'Later With Jools'.


Questo cd quadruplo dovrebbe essere molto interessante, visto che ci sarà un cd live inedito (pare) e un dvd con apparizioni tiv finora mai pubblicate in via ufficiale.
Per chi non possiede nulla degli Erasure, questo best di 40 brani è una buona occasione per una prima conoscenza, anche se le cose migliori (IMHO) si trovano negli album e nei singoli come b-sides

oltrettutto non l'avevo mai visto 'sto clip! roba molto rara, anche perchè, inspiegabilmente, di quell'album splendido non fu fatto nè tour nè degna promozione....

Il più bell'album del duo, assieme al precedente Chorus.

Tra l'altro So the story goes è uno dei brani più belli di quell'album.

Always vendette una marea di copie come singolo e fece vendere tantissimo anche all'album; ricordo il bellissimo video, trasmesso a più non posso su videomusic e la loro apparizione al festivalbar.

non lo so, Ty, credo però che sia minimo un doppio cd e massimo il box set di 3 cd e 1 dvd.
Fai una cosa, accattati quest'ultimo, vendi Pop 1 e risolvi il problema

classica esibizione tv per le Cancellature, con Vince seduto comodamente nella sua poltrona

(Andy peraltro canta live e lo fa magnificamente qui, e anche la base, per quanto Vince se ne stia spaparanzato in salotto, è stata rielaborata in studio ed è diversa dalla versione presente in Chorus, pronta per essere utilizzata nel Phantasmagorical Tour del 2002)
