German promoter once again let details slip of the upcoming Mode tour. This time in a posting on their official site, where it’s casually mentioned that tickets for Depeche Mode’s mid-2009 tour should go on sale in October 2008. Read on for more…

Marek Lieberberg, Depeche Mode’s concert promoter in Germany, posted today a notice on their official website warning fans against black market tickets being sold at horrendous prices, despite the tour not even having been announced yet. While true, not all that interesting. Far more interesting was the final few lines of the notice:

“If the tour take place in the middle of 2009, the presale of tickets should start in October 2008″.

Nice try there, throwing in an “if”, but we’re not that easily fooled. This is, of course, official confirmation that the tickets are being released in October!

In sintesi Marek Lieberberg, che si occupa dell'organizzazione dei concerti in Germania, ha postato sul sito dell'organizzazione un annuncio che mette in guardia i fans dai siti che vendono biglietti per i concerti, senza che siano state neppure annunciate le date.

E poi ha aggiunto che se il tour inizierà verso la metà del 2009, le prevendite dovrebbero partire ad ottobre 2008.

Non sapevo dove postare questa notizia, quindi provo qui.
Sul depechemode.de ci sono delle informazioni sul tour del 2009, pare provenienti da alcuni organizzatori di concerti tedeschi. Ovviamente la notizia fa riferimento al tour in Germania, ma per lo meno possiamo cominciare a farci dei programmi. In Germania ci dovrebbero essere 6-8 date, in blocco, a giugno e la prevendita dovrebbe cominciare ad ottobre. Pare che il tour cominci a maggio in Israele.
Solitamente questo sito è attendibile quindi....

Let's try and deal with all the pre-announcement rumours on this thread...

Rumours that are noteworthy:

- It is expected that tour dates will be announced October 6th. At present time we don't know if the band will hold a press conference.

- Tickets are expected to go on sale in October as well. This was hinted on Marek Lieberberg's website (the German tour promoter). Last time tickets for some shows went on sale on the same day they were announced.

- Tour is expected to start in May of 2009. According to DM.de, Marek Lieberberg has said that it will start in Israel.

- According to people familiar with the process, it is expected that the initial leg(s) of the tour will be open air shows, with an indoor tour following later in the year.


IMPORTANT NOTE:
The long lists of tour dates that have circulated here and elsewhere are so far all patently false, or highly questionable. If you hear of any dates from credible sources, please post them below!!
