Adesso è messo li e ogni tanto gli farò prendere aria ma solo per ascoltare saw something che è davvero un piccolo gioiello.
Sono contento per Gahan ma adesso, dopo aver mangiato il cotechino con le lenticche, ha degli impegni molto piu importanti di una clessidra.
Ha l'obbligo di continuare a farci godere....con i depeche mode!!!

Brief overview of Dave’s life given – working class boy from Essex who joined a band and become a huge popstar as the lead singer in DM – now onto his second solo album
- Title taken from Endless – it refers to the lyrical theme of the album – it’s about the idea that he has been for a long time racing against time and playing catch up – he’s in a place in his life now where he’s supposed to be and although uncomfortable at times, he deals with the problems and enjoys the good moments.
- The interviewer thinks that it is a dark album? For Dave songs are definitely about himself and about life and it’s cathartic to make music like that – releasing the emotions. He leans toward melancholy sound when it comes to music Johnny Cash, Sigur Ros and Nick Cave
The host of the show then talked a little about how Dave’s interest in design has come full circle – as he almost went down that path at Art School – He has worked with H&M and J Lindeberg
– He first met Johan Lindeberg at his solo concert in Sweden in 2003 – Johan was there with his wife and came backstage – Dave recalled that he was wearing J.Lindeberg trousers at the gig – Johan suggested that they should collaborate sometime – Dave had some ideas and Johan made clothes for Dave that he has to this day – and of course there was the small line inspired by Dave – Dave sure that they will probably do something together again.
Host then recapped some of the darkest points of Dave’s life in 1995-96 and how it still influences him and especially his music
- Dave sees this time as a part of his past and his growth – still influences him but he doesn’t dwell on it. Right now he feels that it was necessary for whatever reason to go to a place that was that desperate – wouldn’t wish it or recommend it – it took everything that was important away from him – he had no physical control left over anything – not the case today and he is grateful for that.
- It still influences his music today as the demons are still there and rear their ugly heads – but he realizes that it’s what you do with those moments – he chooses to put the tough time into his music
Host talks about him living in NY with his family and that he has new hobbies – e.g. piano playing and he has a fondness for Cigarillos which you can occasionally hear him lighting over the phone in the course of an interview.
The disagreements that were apparent in DM over recent years are solved – even Martin has told him he likes Hourglass
- Dave said that he sees the current situation being that there’s room for everything – there was a point in PM he wanted to move on and work with others – nothing related to personality clashes within the band – he just felt uninspired then, now he’s inspired and he feels there is space to do what he wants – he feels relief as there is time for him to do what he wants as an artist.
