This Sunday (7th October) from 1pm on XFM Manchester, a one hour special. Available online and with a podcast to follow...
We are honoured that Bernard, Hooky and Stephen have all contributed to this radio documentary at length and in-depth; hear them talk about forming Joy Division, recording and gigging, and revealing exclusively their thoughts about Ian Curtis, his character, his genius, his inner turmoil and his tragic death. Alongside Martin Moscrop from A Certain Ratio, the team behind the film 'Control' are among the other contributors.
It's an intriguing and important story, and the personal testimonies we've recorded from the surviving members of the band are amazing; it'll be a very memorable hour.

Nel cazzeggio internet di questa mattina ho trovato questa notizia, anche un po’ vecchiotta, che mi era del tutto sfuggita su Peter Hook. Non so se ne avevate gia’ parlato…..
Freebass working with 'great' frontmen
'Supergroup' Freebass have been working with Liam Gallagher on their debut album.
As previously reported, The band made up of New Order's Peter Hook, The Smiths' Andy Rourke and Primal Scream's Mani.
Now Hook has confirmed the band, made up up three bass players (hence the name), have been working with a number of high-profile frontmen, including Gallagher.
He said: "We've been working with some great singers. Tim Burgess has done a vocal for us. Liam Gallagher, I believe is doing one, (and) Ian Brown and Bobby Gillespie."
He added: "We're going to get them up onstage. It's nice that Mani and I can call in a few favours."

Il 2 giugno 2008 la Warner Music realizzerà il dvd "New Order, Live in Glasgow", il concerto che celebra la mitica band dei New Order attraverso una vasta selezione di brani della loro carriera. Il dvd é stato registrato alla Carling Academy nell'ottobre del 2006. Oltre al dvd del concerto sarà presente anche un dvd aggiuntivo con vari filmati e performances della band dagli anni 80 ad oggi. Durante il concerto, inoltre, sono state eseguite diverse canzoni dei Joy Division, indimenticabile band da cui sono nati poi i New Order...

Sono usciti in versione remaster i primi 5 dischi della band (1981-1989) era Factory.
Secondo cd con b-sides, demo, inedite e singoli nn contenuti negli album, cosa assai comune per Hook e soci.
Ho visto i prezzi, come al solito intorno ai 25 in negozio, su internet non ho visto.
Mi interessa particolarmente Technique, che per me è il capolavoro della band.
